For those of you who are eager to revisit Pandora again, let the countdown begin.
James Cameron revealed more specific release dates for the sequels to his record-breaking 3D flick Avatar at the PGA Awards recently.
“I am in the process of writing the next two Avatar films now. We are planning to shoot them together and post them together, and we will probably release them not quite back to back, but about a year apart. Christmas ’14 and ’15 is the current plan,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
If you remember, Avatar, currently the all-time best-selling film around the world, was released in Dec 2009.

Avatar, featuring Zoe Saldana as Neytiri and Sam Worthington as Jake, was released in Dec 2009.
We already know that the first sequel will bring us to the ocean of Pandora, while the rainforest from the first film will remain a staple. Cameron, 56, added that most of the characters from the original film will remain in the sequel.
“Basically, if you survived the first film, you get to be in the second film, at least in some form,” he said.
The sequels are more than just means to make more money, said the director.
“Fox has partnered with me to donate a chunk of the profits to environmental causes that are at the heart of the Avatar world. I didn’t want to make more Avatar movies without a grander plan in place.”
