MOSCOW - A MOSCOW woman hired a hitman to kill her 21-year-old son because he refused to pay back a loan for a new computer, investigators said on Wednesday.

The woman, 47, and her son quarrelled after he took out a loan in her name to buy a notebook computer and neglected to pay her back, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

She approached an acquaintance and offered him more than 12,000 euros (S$20,807) to kill her son.

But he secretly reported the request to police and the woman was arrested as she handed over the final payment.

Lucas Tse to stay with mum

Lucas Tse has expressed his support for mummy dearest Cecilia Cheung.

The four-year-old boy told his parents that he would be by his mother's side.

On Monday, Nicholas Tse brought his lawyers to discuss the divorce terms with his wife.

By then, Cecilia – who has been trying to save the marriage – realised that there were no returns.


Hong Kong's 3 Weekly magazine reported that Cecilia has agreed to divorce.

But before making the decision, she broke down and cried hysterically while hugging Lucas tight in her arms.

On seeing this, the boy immediately consoled his mother.

"Don't cry mom. I won't follow daddy," he said with tears rolling down his cheeks.

For that, Cecilia has decided to let go of Nicholas' wealth, but demands full custody of Lucas and her younger son Quintus.

Nicholas has reportedly agreed to the term.

Man jumps off bridge to catch train

A man, who was running late for his train ride, has jumped off a bridge above the railway in China.

He landed on top of a train and was seen lying motionless for a while, but regained consciousness minutes later.

The 40-year-old traveller, surnamed Ge, was unhurt during the Tuesday incident at Qingdao railway station.

An eyewitness, known only as Zhang, said he was shocked to see the man hanging on the edge of the bridge on the second floor.

He immediately shouted for help, but in was too late.

Ge released his hands and fell on a train, which was about to leave the station.

Ge was to take the 8am train to Linxi of Shandong province, but he was late for the coach.

Not realising the train he was to catch had left the station, he mistook another train – which was about to leave – was that of his.

In a desperate move to catch the train, he jumped some five-metre down from the bridge.
