How to Set up a Guppy Tank
Guppies are very fun pets to own, but a proper habitat is key to your pets health. Read about making the proper habitat for your fishy friend.
Get a tank that is at least five gallons, but ten gallons is a better size.
Get some gravel (they have many cute colors available) that has enough pebbles to fill the bottom of your tank. You will want about 1-2 inches.
Get some fake, or real plants, and hiding spots and things like that (you can find a lot at pet stores) in your tank.
Place your filter system in the tank, as well as the tank heater. Note: Filters and heaters are not always necessary... but without them, you will have to clean the tank a lot more often to keep it clean, and to keep the water warm.
Fill the tank with water, however, make sure the water is about the same temp. as the previous enclosure, (bag, small plastic container, etc.) because it could kill the fish if it is way too cold or way too hot.
Cycle the tank.
Place the fish inside. Make sure they all look happy and healthy.
