Groom calls wrong name on wedding night
A newly-wed couple in China split up after the groom called the name of another woman during their wedding night.
Sun Qiang, 24, met his bride Hu Yan at his hometown in Suqian of Jiangsu province in October last year.
Two months later, they got married in a traditional manner, without registering the marriage.
Sun gave Hu's family some gold jewellery, a motorcycle and 20,000 yuan (RM9,200) cash as dowry.
After the ceremony, the drunk Sun and Hu returned to their room.
When he saw Hu, Sun called her by another woman's name.
The angry bride returned to her parents home the next day. She refused to forgive the husband despite him begging for forgiveness on numerous times.
In February this year, Sun finally asked for their marriage to be called off, and demanded Hu to return all the dowry but she refused to do so.
The dispute was taken to court. The court ruled that Hu return the jewellery, the motorcycle and half of the cash to Sun.
