A TEMPTING spread of local Malay food with a sprinkling of Chinese dishes will be on offer at Kuching Park Hotel’s upcoming Ramadan buffet.
Chef Stephen Tada has come up with a variety of must-have dishes for the buffet, which will be available every Saturday during Ramadan at the hotel’s Orchid Park Coffeehouse.
His signature dishes include honey roasted chicken, grilled fish with sambal, beef rendang and lamb curry.
“There will be about seven main courses to choose from in the buffet and the menu will change weekly so guests won’t get bored,” he said yesterday.
He added that about 80% of the menu would comprise Malay food while the rest will be Chinese.
Salads and ulam will also be available as starters, while for dessert there will be bubur cha-cha as well as a selection of kuih nyonya, cakes and fruits.
“Of course, there will be dates too,” Stephen said.
A set menu will be available on other days when the buffet is not served. Dishes in the set menu include umai, rojak, soup, rendang, prawns, curry, fish and vegetables.
It comes with rice, fruits, dates and air bandung selasih.
The set menu is priced from RM25 per person to RM210 for eight to 10 people.
The buffet is priced at RM25 nett per person while children below 12 years will be charged RM15 nett.
Booking is required for both the buffet and set menu.
Meanwhile, Kuching Park Hotel is offering a special room promotion of RM90 a night in conjunction with Ramadan and the ongoing Kuching Festival.
The promotion is open to Malaysian citizens and is applicable for a standard room subject to availability. Breakfast is not included in the deal which must be booked beforehand.
