LADY Gaga is reportedly taking an anti-baldness drug.
The 25-year-old singer - who has experienced hair loss because of how often she has dyed her tresses - has started using Rogaine in order to reverse the years of damage she has subjected her locks to in the name of fashion.
A source is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: 'Over the years Lady Gaga has put her locks under a lot of stress. She's poured so much chemicals over them that it has damaged her follicles.'
'She's hoping by using Rogaine, she can repair some of the harm.'
She first started worrying about her hair while on her current Monster Ball Tour.
A source claims Gaga went ballistic backstage because whenever she 'dragged a comb through her frazzled, bleached tresses, there was hair everywhere - in the comb, on the floor, in her hands.' -- CHINA DAILY/ANN

South African man wakes after 21 hours in morgue fridge
JOHANNESBURG - A SOUTH African man awoke to find himself in a morgue fridge - nearly a day after his family thought he had died, a health official said.
Health department spokesman Sizwe Kupelo said Monday that the man awoke Sunday afternoon, 21 hours after his family called in an undertaker who sent him to the morgue after an asthma attack.
Morgue owner Ayanda Maqolo said he sent his driver to collect the body shortly after the family reported the death. Maqolo said he thought the man was around 80 years old.
'When he got there, the driver examined the body, checked his pulse, looked for a heartbeat, but there was nothing,' Mr Maqolo told the Associated Press.
But a day after staff put the body into a locked refrigerated compartment, morgue workers heard someone shouting for help. They thought it was a ghost, the morgue owner said.
'I couldn't believe it!' Mr Maqolo said. 'I was also scared. But they are my employees and I had to show them I wasn't scared, so I called the police.' After police arrived, the group entered the morgue together. 'I was glad they had their firearms, in case something wanted to fight with us,' Mr Maqolo said. -- AP

Winehouse autopsy inconclusive

LONDON - AN AUTOPSY on singer Amy Winehouse on Monday failed to determine what killed the 27-year-old star, leaving fans and family with a weeks-long wait for the results of toxicology tests.
The singer, who had struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for years, was found dead on Saturday at home by a member of her security team, who called an ambulance. It arrived too late to save her.
The Metropolitan Police said on Monday that a forensic post mortem 'did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further toxicology tests'. Those are expected to take two to four weeks.
An inquest into the singer's death was opened and adjourned at London's St Pancras Coroner's Court. During the two-minute hearing, an official read out the name, birth date and address of Winehouse, described as 'a divorced lady living at Camden Square NW1'. 'She was a singer-songwriter at the time of her death and was identified by her family here at St Pancras this morning,' said coroner's officer Sharon Duff.
Duff said the scene of Winehouse's death 'was investigated by police and determined non-suspicious'.
In Britain, inquests are held to establish the facts whenever someone dies violently or in unexplained circumstances. Assistant Deputy Coroner Suzanne Greenaway said Winehouse's inquest would resume on Oct 26. -- AP

Kwon Sang-woo to share the big screen with Jackie Chan

Kwon Sang-woo to share the big screen with Jackie Chan
Actor Kwon Sang-woo (My Tutor Friend, Daemul, Cinderella Man) who started his career showing off his fab bod as a model in the early 90′s and started the mom-zzang movement will be appearing on the big screen with Hong Kong star Jackie Chan. His career has been a bit of a roller coaster ride since his debut, and suffered a bit of a slump, but has had a recent revival with the box office hit Into the Gunfire and the success of his latest drama Daemul.
On June 6, Kwon Sang-woo started filming the movie 12 Chinese Zodiac Heads in Paris. I’m intrigued by the pairing of Kwon Sang-woo and Jackie Chan together. My first impression of Kwon Sang-woo from his first hit movie, My Tutor Friend, is one of a cocky bad boy itching for a fight at every turn… Pair that with the easygoing goofiness of Jackie Chan? Could this new team-up be better than Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan? Or will this new duo be standing on opposing sides trying to out-kick each other?
This movie is slated to be the first of an action-packed blockbuster trilogy starring Jackie Chan with an astounding estimated budget of 100 billion won. Even though it is a Chinese Epic Series, the anticipation for the series is high due to the popularity of Chan in the lead role. With the high budget of the film as well as the appeal of the lead actor, this could possibly be an opportunity for Kwon Sang-woo to expand his acting career to a wider audience in Asia. Will the bad boy be able to break the barrier with this movie?
With the filming of the movie well under way in Paris, the rest will be shot in other parts of the world including Thailand, Dubai, Taiwan and China. Mark your calendars — the first installment of the series, 12 Chinese Zodiac Heads, will be kicking its way to the theaters by the New Year!

Park Shin-hye’s accident causes last-minute script changes
Park Shin-hye, who was recently re-admitted to the hospital for injuries sustained in a car accident, has returned to filming for her current MBC drama You’ve Fallen For Me. However, she’s not completely back in full health yet, which has the production scrambling to rearrange their story to accommodate her condition.
That means that Park’s character Kyu-won will be sick for two episodes, which suggests she’ll also be less prominently featured in the plot. Understandable and probably a good decision, although I wonder if the story will suffer for the sudden rewriting. I think most fans will be pretty agreeable even if the story falters because they’re aware of the situation, but I can’t help but think back to the big Car-Accident-O-Rama of 2009, back when the “Boys Before Flowers Curse” was in full effect and each cast member was involved in at least one accident (some of them more than one). When Gu Hye-sun was in hers, the accident was bad enough to pre-empt an episode (and prompt a hastily put-together Special), and even after Gu resumed shoots, there was one episode where she essentially sat there as a prop, unable to speak. (Remember that awkward ramen-eating scene?)
Timeline: Park Shin-hye’s car accident occurred on July 18, and she’d been checked out at the hospital immediately thereafter, then resumed drama shoots two days later, on the 20th. However, her injuries worsened and she had to go back for medical treatment last week, and the filming delay accounted for last Thursday’s pre-emption. On July 23, Park rejoined shoots again.
Hopefully this reworked storyline gives Park some reprieve and allows her to heal soon. You’ve Fallen For Me drama will resume its regular airing schedule on Wednesday, July 27, and will broadcast Episodes 8 and 9 this week.
(Aside: I wonder if the drama will get a 1-episode extension to fix its airing schedule, or a special. Since the ratings aren’t that high, there’s also a chance that one night may see a double-airing — although if the production is as time-strapped as it seems, I doubt the live-shoot will accommodate that.)
