Harry Potter beat Twilight at Teen Choice Awards
It is one of those rare moments when the wizards from Hogwarts outdo the vampires at a popularity-based award show.
At the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 beat The Twilight Saga: Eclipse to be voted as Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, while franchise star Emma Watson beat Twilight’s Kristen Stewart to be selected as Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy actress.
As if that’s not enough to cause grief for Twi-hards, Watson and co-star Daniel Radcliffe even beat Stewart and her beau Robert Pattinson in the kissing department, taking home the award for Choice Liplock.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter baddie Tom Felton continued sweeping the Best Villain awards, being named as Choice Villain for his portrayal as the conflicted Draco Malfoy in the fantasy series.

The wand-wielding bunch also ruled in the Summer category, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 being named as Choice Movie, while Radcliffe and Watson were Choice Male Movie Star and Choice Female Movie Star respectively.
Cheer up, Twi-hards, as the vampire lot did not go home empty-handed. Taylor Lautner (who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the film series) was Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy actor while Pattinson landed Choice Drama Actor for his another movie Water For Elephants.
In the TV department, the bloodsuckers and a certain musical drama series reigned supreme. The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries took home four awards, namely Choice Fantasy/Sci-Fi Series, Choice Actors in a Fantasy/Sci-Fi Series (Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder) and Choice TV Scene Stealers (Michael Trevino and Kat Graham).
Glee walked away with three surfboards, namely Choice Comedy, Choice Comedy Actor (Cory Monteith) and Choice Breakout Star (Darren Criss).
Selena Gomez reunited with former BFF Demi Lovato (left) at the award show.
As for the pop stars, lovebirds Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were the major winners. The former won Choice Male Artist, Choice Twit and Choice Male Hottie, on top of clinching Choice TV Villain for his role in CSI.
His gorgeous girlfriend is the darling du jour, winning Choice Comedy TV actress (for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place), Choice Group (as part of Selena Gomez & The Scene), Choice Single (Who Says) and Choice Love Song (Love You Like a Love Song).
