Tourist jumps from Tower of Pisa
A Dutch man committed suicide by jumping off Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa just days after its restoration ended.
The 22-year-old tourist bought a ticket to enter the famous monument and then jumped over a metal barrier on the fourth level to fall to his death, Italian news agency ANSA reported.
The World Heritage site, which dates back to the 12th century, was unveiled earlier this week after a painstaking clean-up operation and restoration, which ended just days ago after years of restoration work.
The fourth level of the tower is about 35 metres off the ground.
